The Alpine Junior Race Series has something for all junior mountain bikers looking to have a go at racing. Its a fun series for the kids. 

Our Junior Ride Program is taking on a different shape for Term 1 2022. We’re going to have just two sessions over two Thursdays - the 17th & 24th March, running at the slightly earlier time of 4 - 5pm for each session. These sessions will be structured to suit everyone from new riders who'd like to try out MTB, skills development for regular riders, and race preparation for any kids wanting to have a crack at the Beechworth round of Alpine Cycling Club's Junior Race series on Saturday 26 March. Term 1 is free with current AusCycling/ Beechworth Chain Gang membership, a free trial membership is possible for first-timers: https://www.auscycling.org.au/membership/other/free-trial Kids just need to bring their water bottle, helmet and a bike in good working order. We'll look forward to seeing everyone soon to kick off JRP for 2022! Join Specialized and Beechworth Chain Gang for a day of trail care, food, drinks and banter.  Meeting at the Beechworth Mountain Bike Park trailhead at 8am, we’ll spend the morning working on the trails – all equipment provided. We’ll finish the day with food and beverages on us. Finally, we'll also be announcing the winner of the Specialized Soil Searching Stumpjumper Evo. All donations of $5 or more to the Beechworth Chain Gang go in the draw to win. What’s Mountain biking without trails? Specialized Soil Searching is a movement to recognize, celebrate and support the unsung heroes of mountain biking; the trail builders and trail organisations who tirelessly maintain and shape what our sport is built on. Now is your opportunity to learn about sustainable trail building/maintenance tips, tricks and techniques from some of the best professional trail builders in the industry, Contour Works.  This is a free program, but registration is essential. Youth interested in trail work are encouraged to join, but please attend with a parent or caregiver.
